So I got pretty bad at posting...my bad!

Forgive me for I have not blogged in many months.  The magic ink in the computer has dried up and so I needed to ensure I filled the magic ink up again (yeah I don't know what I'm blabbing about either!)

So what have we been up to since my last post in July, well we have been pretty busy!  I shall try and give a succinct explanation of what we have been doing and the highs and lows of the past few months and see where we end up.  We may not get through it all today so *shock, horror* I may have two posts within a few days of each other.

Well after the high of Michelle being here we had a pretty quiet month.  We had the boys actual birthdays in July and then I pretty much started living on site.  There was so much field work going on that I could pretty much guarantee at least two weeks a month on site.  The boys were growing fast and Marcus especially was starting to walk further so we decided on a fun trip to Yanchep to see the turtles (Marcus loves turtles).  We went into the Crystal Cave and had a guided tour 30ft underground.  Much fun for a geeky geologist like me!
The flash was a little harsh me thinks...

August saw us having a fairly quiet month, as far as I can remember a few birthdays, maybe a beach trip or two? not sure really.  Yes I hear you, this is why you should blog regularly...I am hanging my head in shame.

September :) yay September was great.  Mum came over for the whole month and everyone thoroughly enjoyed having her here.  We spent time on the beach, Whiteman Park and Caversham Wildlife park where the highlight there was the boys stroking Kangaroos.  Although Mum sitting with the boys and wombat is something to behold!
Spot the Wombat...go on you can have two guesses.

Finley, leave the Kangaroos lunch alone...

A trip to Woodman point was made so Mum could see her Pelican.
Shhh, I think it saw us .

The boys were also given a fish by a friendly fisherman after standing fascinated for about 15mins watching them.

And yes,  despite the sunshine, it was a little chilly as evidenced by Marcus's fleece.

A fun beach trip to Cottesloe Beach was undertaken and we successfully built a sandcastle which seems to have excited Marcus no end:
Only to be threatened by the giant and fearsome Finleyasaurus.
With Mum we had a great trip to Busselton for four days but it is late now so I shall post those photos etc. on Friday (tomorrow I go and get beaten up at Silat).

So long and see you soon.
