Hyde Park, Cottesloe Statues, car accident and New Job

Can't believe it is March already, Autumn has started here and the 2nd hottest summer on record is continuing.  40'C today and yesterday!  AC is on but sleeping is proving somewhat difficult and Marcus is all over the shop.  Poor Kid, next summer we are going to either buy some better AC or move somewhere with better AC.  Asides from the heat the boys are doing well and continuing to enjoy swimming and getting better each week :)

Last weekend we went to Hyde Park for a fair put on by the local council.  Twas a pirate theme and much fun was had by all.  The $5 for Finley to go on a carousel was a little steep but hey ho, Mummy enjoyed the ride as well.  Although Finley really didn't want a photo taken!

We did meet a rather strange lady in a (very) low cut leopard print skin tight (no bra) dress who asked Finley to spray her with water from the water spray we had...why she had to thrust her breasts and cleavage at him and ask as if he was a sailor from the docks we are not entirely sure.  Each to their own.

We had a trip to Cottesloe beach over the weekend as well to look at the statues they put up each year for the Perth festival.  Some pretty good sculptures.  Twas rather hot and it actually felt like being on holiday, seeing loads of people on the beach and not really having to rush anywhere.  Very odd, all we were missing really was the donkey rides and the tower and it could have been Blackpool!

However the Tuesday after this lovely weekend, Anna, with the boys in the back going to see one of here friends got rear-ended while driving on the freeway.  The boys were ok but Anna has got bad whiplash and is stiff, sore and achey.  The tablets the dr gave her are super strong, and knocked her out for nigh on 24hours.  So we have found some of the same but a lower dose which is helping her control the pain yet still remain awake.  She is getting better but the extreme heat at the moment is sapping.  Despite good friends coming to help and look after kids or pick Anna up from the hospital it's time like this that you really miss your family, makes it harder to want to stay when you realise just how far away everyone really is.

Thankfully from tomorrow she will be in a air conditioned office full time as she starts her new job.  So she will be on the 32nd floor of a skysrcaper working for Lycopodium.  Should be a good fun job and the project is set to run for at least 3 years with likely further work after that.

Anna is now making lemonade with the boys so will go lend a hand and then off to the swimming pool later, too hot for the beach!  Roll on a cooler weekend next week.
