As I said within a week of going to the Expo I was having a first initial interview with URS in Australia. This was all a little odd as the nice people at the Expo had said that they wouldn't pass my CV on and I would have to send an email to their recruiting department in Oz, which I hadn't got round to yet.
So anyway I was phoned and interviewed they said they would set up interviews with Perth, Brisbane and Christchurch. All very exciting and rather scary at the same time. All the while I was working on site in the north of England so early morning phone calls weren't overly welcome but at least I was up in time for breakfast.
I had an interview for the Perth office on the 14th July. Only four days since I had gone to the Expo. I thought it had gone well but I wasn't holding my breath, no point in getting excited about anything. Meanwhile I was still trying to concentrate on work and do my job well.
Around this time I also had email contact with a company in Vancouver who said they were interested in interviewing me. Things were looking good I thought.
